Wax apple scientific name is Syzygium
Samarangense from family Myrtaceae. It is native to Malaysia,
Philippine and Indonesia. In Malaysia, the alternative name is jambu
merah, jambu bar, jambu kling, jambu Melaka and jambu kapal. It is in
heart shape and light red while in young and deep red when mature. The
skin is waxy. The flesh is crisp white, loose weave and sweet, crunchy
and juice taste. Normally the reddest wax apple are the sweetest.
